HeR Interactive’s 9th installment to their PC/Mac Mystery Adventure games based on the classic female detective, Nancy Drew! Danger on Deception Island released in October, 2003. The PC game is available on herinteractive.com, Steam, and Amazon.com (affiliate link) as digital downloads.
To quote the game description from HeR Interactive, here’s what the mystery game is about;
Plunge into Danger to Bring a Mysterious Island’s Secrets to the Surface! George’s friend, Katie Firestone, invites you, as Nancy Drew, to Deception Island for a whale-watching excursion, the sleuth arrives to find Katie’s tour boat heavily vandalized. A threatening note warns Katie to “stop meddling.” Apparently, Snake Horse Harbor is divided over an orphaned orca whale that recently appeared in the channel and has apparently decided to stay. What was a simple vandalism case begins to unfold into something more mysterious and sinister. Can Nancy find the culprit, or will she be too late to “Save the Whales?”

This game was built on a proprietary engine internally, by HeR Interactive. It is loosely based on the Nancy Drew book Whispers in the Fog.
Set in the San Juan Islands of Puget Sound in Washington State, the game takes place on an island where the town is arguing about what to do with a stray baby Orca whale. Nancy arrives for a vacation but soon finds herself in an investigation when her tour boat is found sabotaged.
This mystery game is very exploratory – Nancy questions key suspects, learning about the island and marine life, and follows clues to discover what is really going on behind the scenes, and below sea level.
