HeR Interactive’s 3rd installment to their PC/Mac Mystery Adventure games based on the classic female detective, Nancy Drew! Message in a Haunted Mansion, released on November 15th, 2000. The PC game is available on herinteractive.com, Amazon.com (affiliate link), and Steam as digital downloads.
To quote the game description from HeR Interactive, here’s what the mystery game is about;
Discover who — or what — is behind the mysterious accidents in a house full of secrets! Nancy Drew is invited, by a friend, to San Francisco to assist in the renovation of a Victorian mansion. But there are other uninvited guests, visitors from the past–spirits who want the place all to themselves. Nancy suspects that there is another force at work: greed. In a house full of trap doors and secret tunnels, breaking glass and suspicious fires, one misstep and Nancy won’t stand a ghost of a chance in Nancy Drew: Message in a Haunted Mansion!

This game was built on a proprietary engine internally, by HeR Interactive. It is loosely based on the book by the same name.
Set in San Francisco, CA, the entire mystery takes place within an old Victorian mansion. The new owner, Rose Green, has requested Nancy’s help in the renovation work. Oddly, strange accidents have been delaying the progress.
This mystery game is very exploratory – with few chores or ‘tasks’ the player has to accomplish. Player discovers many hidden secrets, including an interesting history, paranormal sightings and experiences, and hidden panels and secret rooms.

This game was also released for the Gameboy advance, but it was a much lighter game in content, story, and quality.
This game was grouped in the 5 pack of boxed games for the 75th anniversary of Nancy Drew.
