Tea Ceremony

In Nancy Drew: Shadow at the Water’s Edge, Nancy must visit Takae for a third day to learn about the tea ceremony. Visit room 18 and talk to Takae. She won’t explain the actual steps of the ceremony, but rather have you identify and label all of the elements of the tea ceremony.

Simply listen to Takae and take hand-written notes. You can read the proper spelling of each item in the closed captioning of Takae’s conversation.

Click on a label to the right and click on the place holder in front of the item to place it. If you forget what the items are, you can click on the circled question mark in the lower right corner of the screen for Takae to repeat all the elements.

Once you have completed this task, the tea cabinet will unlock for you the next day.

Here’s the complete list:

  • Tea kettle = Furo
  • Tea whisk = Chasen
  • Tea cloth (napkin) = Chakin
  • Brown Bowl = Kensui
  • Bamboo ladle = Hishaku
  • Teapot cover goes on this = Futaoki
  • White tea bowl = Chawan
  • Tea scoop = Chashaku
  • Tea container = Natsume
