HeR Interactive’s 18th installment to their PC/Mac Mystery Adventure games based on the classic female detective, Nancy Drew! The Phantom of Venice released in July 2008. The PC game is available on herinteractive.com, Steam, and Amazon.com (affiliate link) as digital downloads.

Infiltrate a Carnevale of Criminals in Italy!
Somewhere beyond the bright piazzas and open markets of the Venice Carnevale lurks a masked thief. Despite months of investigations, the Italian police remain helpless as stolen treasures vanish in the night. That’s why the authorities asked you, as detective Nancy Drew, to join the case to infiltrate a dangerous crime syndicate and catch this phantom thief before he or she destroys the heart of Venice in Nancy Drew: The Phantom of Venice!

This game was built on a proprietary engine internally, by HeR Interactive. It is loosely based on the book The Phantom of Venice.
Set in Venice, Italy, the local authorities call Nancy for additional investigation in infiltrating a group of criminals. The crime ring has been stealing art from around the city, especially from high society. Nancy does some spy work, using spy gadgets, bugging people and a pigeon, using binoculars to view suspects from afar, lock picking, and disguise-wearing.
This mystery game is very rich in Italian culture, environments, and activities pertinent to solving the case. The game takes place in the day time, but the days can change by clicking on Nancy’s bed to go to sleep.
