Cody
A Mystery-Loving Pooch: Cuddly and curious, Cody is a canine with a nose for mysteries! He lives with his mystery buff owner and they spend lots of time reading and watching mysteries together. While his slightly overactive imagination sends him on what others would call wild goose chases, Cody proudly protects the neighborhood until dinnertime. With his trusty sidekick friends from the backyard by his side, Cody takes on the case and starts sniffing for clues. Skills: looking cute, eating dinner on time. Favorite hangout: In his owner’s bed, watching mysteries. Favorite toy: Shoes that have the Mysterious New Shoe Smell. Quote: “Woof!”
Macadamia
The Rambunctious Squirrel: A fun-loving and mischievous squirrel, Macadamia treats the entire backyard as her pantry. She constantly hides things in the soil for her winter food stores and occasionally runs into one of Cody’s buried treasures. Macadamia often helps Cody by keeping an outlook from treetops to alert him of suspicious suspects. Skills: Reconnaissance missions, burying nuts. Favorite hangout: The Fence. Prized possession: Her collection of etiquette books – whose advice she studiously ignores. Quote: “That was in poor taste, my dear.”
Lenny
The Patient Gnome: Strong and silent, Lenny the Gnome observes the antics of the backyard denizens. Through rain, snow, or sunshine, he remains steadfast in his watch. Cody stops by to confide in him, but he says nothing – only listening to his fanciful theories and inspired dreams. Skills: He’s a good listener. Favorite hangout: His spot in the backyard. Prized Possession: His hat. Quote: “…”
Ralph
The Elderly Ladybug: Ralph is a crotchety old ladybug who constantly fusses over his lawn. It aggravates him when Cody and Macadamia (Mac as he likes to call her) disturb his precious soil to hide their brick-a-brack. However, he tolerates Cody because he helps keeps the neighborhood kids from trampling the flowers. Skills: Shaking his fist at trespassers, yelling at trespassers, glaring at trespassers, thinking about how to keep trespassers out. Favorite hangout: Atop Lenny’s hat, it’s a good vantage point to admire his grass from Prized possession: The Lawn Quote: “Get off my lawn!”
