To quote the game description from HeR Interactive, here’s what the mystery game is about;

Sniff Out the Source of the Suspicious Suds! This is Cody’s very first case and he can’t wait to show the neighborhood his sleuthing skills! Mysterious bubbles are invading the neighborhood! Never fear though – Detective Cody is on the case! Pop groups of bubbles filled with doggy treats to clear the screen and stay on the culprit’s trail. As the investigation takes Cody from his once safe backyard through his now infested hangouts, Cody must put his nose to this match-3 case!

Interestingly, I wouldn’t describe this game as a match-3 game the way Candy Crush and Bejeweled are match-3 games. This game is more like a batch-grab and drop type. Players hover their mouse over the objects looking for the largest batches or groups of the same type (in this case, bubbles filled squirrels or bubbles filled with sandwiches). When any bubble is clicked on, the bubbles above that one will drop down. The larger the batch clicked on, the larger the score. Earn enough points for that particular object and you pop the goal bubble – which in turn eliminates the remaining bubbles of that type. (If you earn enough points popping squirrel bubbles, the goal bubble will pop, and eliminate the rest of the squirrels on the board.) The end goal is to get all bubbles popped and clear the board.

Quick Navigation:

This game was built using Torque Game Builder. It was made by the small, internal team whose next projects would be the two Nancy Drew Dossier games.

Cody is a dog who sniffs out a trail of mysterious bubbles, filled with his favorite things. Each level contains a screen full of bubbles in an illustrated 2D environment. The goal is to pop all of the bubbles with enough points for each item inside to release that clue from the list. The same kind of bubbles touching each other results in more points when more are connected, and you lose points if a bubble is single and popped.

Other features:

The lead character, Cody, was originally designed to be Togo, Nancy Drew’s dog.
