In Nancy Drew: Shadow at the Water’s Edge, Nancy will gain access to the Avatar program on Yumi’s computer. To use this program, click on the icon on Yumi’s computer “Avatars.” Start by selecting one of the nine empty gallery blank avatar dolls, then click Start!
Select some or all features to choose custom designs:
- Skin color
- Eye color
- Hair style and color
- Dresses
- Skirts and pants
- Tops
- Accessories
You can remove an item by clicking the Remove button on the screen. When you are done choosing everything you’d like, click the Done! button. Then click Return to Gallery.
At the gallery, you can have 9 avatar designs. You can click on one, and choose to send the avatar to a phone number, like your own. You will have to look up individual phone numbers on your own Nancy phone and manually enter in the number in the program to send.
To look up someone’s phone number, click on Nancy’s phone. Click Menu, Phone, then click the left and right arrows to scroll through your contacts. Click on the Options button to learn that person’s phone number. For example, your own phone number (Nancy’s) is 523-555-4399.
Back out of the phone and enter this number with your cursor in the Avatar program. Click Send.
To apply avatars to your own phone contacts, send your designs to yourself.
Open you phone, click Menu, click Phone, select a contact, click Options, and use the upper right and left arrows to scroll through your avatar designs. Once you have one that you like, select the “Save” button and that design will be saved as your phone contact avatar.
