Here’s how to how to trap the Dalibor Knight and access the gated area in Nancy Drew: Mystery of the Seven Keys.
After you solve the candles puzzle by the Dean’s office, there are a few steps you need to take to work towards catching the Dalibor Knight ghost. Leave the candles and exit to the courtyard. Time to phone call Zane. Exhaust all conversations with him and your phone will then ping you about the message from Ned.
Text Ned until your conversation ends. The prompt is to catch the knight by trapping him, using your phone as the bait. Walk all the way around the cathedral where the potato cake stall is towards the locked gate area.
On a pile of boxes, grab the green screwdriver, then use it on the gate lock. To solve the gate lock, simply left-mouse click the screen when the white marker goes through the green space. Timing is important to stop the moving pin. If you stop the marker early or late, your last set pin will be reset. The four pins need to be moved to rotate the handle and unlock the gate. Once you get all four pins down, it will rotate and turn to nighttime.
Once in the work area, look immediately to the left to get a hammer on the worktable. Then take the pile of cardboard boxes on the ground over to the right. Next, walk up the scaffolding two levels until you see the white cube outlines where you need to place the cardboard boxes. Fill all placements.
Be sure to step off the center grate or you will encounter a second chance. Use your hammer on the 3 locks, moving the pegs out of the latches. Then turn to your left where the white highlight of your phone is to go and click on it to place your phone as bait. Watch the scene play out.
