HeR Interactive’s 2nd installment to their PC/Mac Mystery Adventure games based on the classic female detective, Nancy Drew! Stay Tuned for Danger, released Nov. 1999. The PC game is available for purchase at herinteractive.com.

Go Undercover to Save Daytime TV’s Biggest Star from the Danger Lurking in the Wings! Nancy’s reputation for solving mysteries offers her the chance to investigate behind the scenes of a high-profile daytime drama. One of TV’s hottest soap stars is receiving threatening letters and it’s up to Nancy to get to the bottom of them. Clues are everywhere you look, but so is treachery! Only cleverness and craft can outwit this culprit–will Nancy discover the truth before the final curtain call? Stay Tuned!

Set in New York City, Nancy visits her Aunt Eloise’s apartment, which is being rented out to Mattie Jensen. Mattie heard about you from your Aunt and is asking for help in discovering who is behind the death threats on her co-star, Rick Arlen. While Rick isn’t taking them seriously, Mattie is genuinely concerned.
This game was built on a proprietary engine internally, by HeR Interactive. It is loosely based on the book by the same name from the Nancy Drew Files series.
Installation:
If you are trying to install Stay Tuned for Danger onto a Windows 7, 8, or 10 computer and have trouble, watch the HeR Interactive video on YouTube here (for digital download from HeR’s web site) or try these steps for installing from a disc :
- Create a new folder on your desktop.
- Name it something you’ll recognize, like STFD
- Insert the game disc
- Go to Computer, and double-click the Disc Drive to open the disc files and see the files
- Find the .exe file. It might be StFDSetup.exe
- It should open the installer/setup process
- When you get to the screen “Select Destination Location”, click the browse button and find the folder you created on your desktop (STFD)
- Click Next and follow the rest of the installation instructions.
- Once the installation is done, try playing the game to see if it turns on.
Other features:
This game is not available on Steam as it requires additional instructions for installing on newer operating systems, which the directions can be obtained on HeR Interactive’s website.
