HeR Interactive’s 5th installment to their PC/Mac Mystery Adventure games based on the classic female detective, Nancy Drew! The Final Scene, released Nov. 2001. The PC game is available for purchase at herinteractive.com, Steam, and Amazon.com (affiliate link), as digital downloads.
To quote the game description from HeR Interactive, here’s what the mystery game is about;
Search a Darkened Movie Theater to Free a Hostage from her Captor’s Dangerous Plot! When a high school friend gets kidnapped in a historic theater, you, as Nancy Drew, are plunged into a desperate race against the clock. With the theater being torn down in just three days, can Nancy outwit the kidnapper and rescue her friend before the wrecking ball flies? Or will this be Maya’s final scene?

Set in St. Louis, Missouri, Nancy joins her friend Maya Nguyen, a reporter for her school paper, to the premiere of Brady Armstrong’s movie, Vanishing Destiny. This is the last event to be held at the Royal Palladium theatre, as it will be destroyed and made way for a new complex. When Maya steps into the dressing room to interview the famous actor, she screams and is kidnapped. Nancy receives a threat: if they let the demolishers knock down the theatre in three days, Maya will die.
This game was built on a proprietary engine internally, by HeR Interactive. It is loosely based on the book by the same name from the Nancy Drew Files series.
