HeR Interactive’s 22nd installment to their PC/Mac Mystery Adventure games based on the classic female detective, Nancy Drew! Trail of the Twister released in June 2010. The PC and Mac game is available on herinteractive.com, Steam, and Amazon.com (affiliate link) as digital downloads.

Apprehend a Saboteur Stirring up Turbulent Trouble!
$100,000,000 is at stake in this competition to discover a formula to predict tornado touchdowns. But when equipment starts failing and crew members are injured, you as Nancy Drew, must join the team to keep them in the competition. Is it just bad luck that’s plaguing the storm chasers or is someone sabotaging their chances of winning in the action adventure Nancy Drew: Trail of the Twister?

This game was built on a proprietary engine internally, by HeR Interactive. It is loosely based on the book The Mystery in Tornado Valley.
Set in northern Tornado Alley, specifically Oklahoma, Nancy is called by P.G. Krolmeister to investigate the tornado-chasing team who are using his gadgets in their work. The tools and gadgets are malfunctioning, and P.G. Krolmeister wants to know what’s really going on since he trusts his equipment.
This mystery game is very chore, and task-heavy, and is a bit linear in gameplay.
Other features:
This game was the first Nancy Drew game to be available for Mac, the second being Secrets Can Kill Remastered, which launched just a month later.
