Fun Facts:

The address for Blackmoor Manor is:
Blackmoor Manor
Blackmoor, Essex XY48 1PQ
UNITED KINGDOM

  • Loulou’s name comes from Flaubert’s Un Coeur Simple.
  • Loulou’s ‘last words’ before she becomes sick are actual last words from famous and fictional characters.
  • Loulou’s Don’t leave me, I love you! Is a reference to Alex, a very smart African Grey (http://www.alexfoundation.org/). One day, Alex became very ill and Dr. Pepperberg had to leave him with the veterinarian. As she exited, Alex called out, “Don’t leave me, I love you!”
  • This game drew inspiration from the film “Die, Monster, Die!” from 1965 featuring Boris Karloff
  • This game design drew inspiration from the Nancy Drew book The Bluebeard Room

Easter Eggs – Discoveries

  • When you step up to Jane’s door as you are leaving the room, the gargoyle design on the right will occasionally blink.
  • Nancy’s suitcases are the same ones used in previous games.

Easter Eggs – Physical Eggs

One physical Easter Egg can be earned in Jane’s room. Step up to Jane’s writing desk and click on the chattering teeth 11 times. Artist Ayu voiced the chicken clucking sound, which plays when the egg drops into your inventory.

To use the egg for some bonus fun, select it out of your inventory and click on the phone in your bedroom. Click on the inactive buttons (not labeled) for a fun sound bite from the previous game, The Secret of Shadow Ranch.

If you have the Easter egg, heard the chanting, seen Nancy’s nightmare, and set the clock anytime before midnight until after 4 am, you will get to watch “Grenny’s Dream.”
