Bonus content for Nancy Drew: Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake (DOG)!
Fun Facts:
This game is made at a resolution of 640×480 pixels (total window size).
You can left-click (single click) on the diamond scroll bar, while in conversation or in the inventory (for games 1-9) to move the scroll bar down, and right-click (single click) on the scroll bar to move the scroll bar up. This is an alternative to clicking-and-dragging the bar.
In many of the Nancy Drew Notebooks, there are ads for the Nancy Drew PC/Mac games by HeR Interactive. In book 59, the ad was printed directly in the inside back cover, featuring Nancy Drew: Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake. Interestingly, the game art shown is the non-final version:
Easter Eggs – Discoveries
- Some of the pictures in Em’s Emporium of people catching fish are actual HeR Interactive employees.
- The poster of the plane in Em’s Emporium acknowledges Mildred “Millie” Benson, the first ghost writer of the original Nancy Drew books, who was also a pilot in real life.
- Behind Emily in Em’s Emporium are movie (VHS tape) rentals. These titles and artwork were seen as posters and the Vanishing Destiny one was a standee in the theatre lobby in The Final Scene.
Easter Eggs – Physical Eggs
There is one Easter Egg to acquire in inventory. Use the phone to call 555-6266 (which represents Manon) or 555-7658 (which represents Solver). These names were members on the HeR Interactive message board forums. They were the first members to identify the clues to the next game: Secret of the Scarlet Hand. These clues were hidden in the previous game, The Final Scene. As a reward, the development team acknowledged them in the form of an Easter egg.
You can use this egg to find a bonus discoveries in the forest, but only when you hold the egg as your cursor.
