Decode the Medallion Phrases

In Nancy Drew: Treasure in the Royal Tower, you collect three medallions and watch the Professor’s video recording. Follow up on her clue:

Just past Hotchkiss’s door and down the hall is a painting of Marie. From the Professor’s video clue, investigate the peephole below the painting. You see a stained-glass window through the tower. Take note of the French phrase.

Back up and insert each medallion. Pear through the colors and take closer looks at each of the French phrases. Also note the symbols associated with the part of the phrase and the color of the medallion. The plain white glass window is the first part of the phrase, with red as second, green as third, and blue is last.

Return to the professor and ask her to translate the phrases. Put those phrases in order. Lastly, offer the old journal you found to her. Let her spend a day translating it.

Return to your room and set the clock for the next evening to return to her. Talk to Hotchkiss about the journal, and she replies that you may go look at it in her room.

Head upstairs to room 214 and use the key card to enter. Step up to the typewriter and read the decoder – matching up the symbols. It decodes to “Hope to those who search the diamond of misery in my journal. Purple rose to hold diamond key of queen.” Take note of the symbols that represent the medallion colors.

Red = Courage

Blue = Honor

Green = Loyalty
